Buddy Reading- MS/ES

We celebrated Picture Book Month in the MS/HS Library by inviting our ES friends up to read with us.  Buddy reading is our most requested library activity (by both MS and ES students!)  Fun times were had by all.

OverDrive Sora

Try the new Sora reading app from OverDrive on your October break travels! 

The library offers thousands of eBooks and audiobooks through OverDrive.  Download the Sora app on your device or access Sora online at: https://soraapp.com to see what books are available.

Our other link to OverDrive still works, but I think Sora provides a better student reading experience and syncs well across multiple devices.  Stop by the library if you need help using Sora.

Book Speed Dating

Book Speed Dating has been a hit in the library this week.  Students had four "dates" with different books and then ranked their dates using an emoji rating system.  Many students left with 2-3 new books, which is great for our upcoming discovery week.  No devices allowed, but books are!

Come craft in the library this week!

On Tuesday and Wednesday, we will have craft stations set up in our classroom area.  Come create something for yourself or a friend during breaks or before/after school.

Our crafting stations:

• Cut paper tree
• Beaded ornaments
• Snowflakes
• Holiday cards

The ES and MS/HS libraries are open during winter break from 10:00-2:00 on the following days:

December 17-21

January 3-4

Regular hours resume on Sunday, January 7.
